How is a rainbow formed?

Have you ever thought how is a rainbow🌈 formed?

Yes, you might know that it is because of rain☔ and the Sun☀. But how is it exactly formed?

1) Watch this video🎬 to find out:

2) Why don't you try at home the experiment that Dr.Binocs does in the video? You will need these objects:

- A mirror
- A glass with water
- A torch
- A white paper

3) Draw in your notebook a rainbow🌈 with the seven colours and write✏ the name of each colour, just as in this example:

4) Have a look at 👆Page 71 of your Natural Book📗.

When light hits an object, some colours are absorbed and some are reflected↝.

A tomato🍅 is red because reflects the red colour and absorbs the other six colours.

A lemon🍋 is yellow because reflects the yellow colour and absorbs the others.

Draw✏ in your notebook📓 some examples as the photo. You can send me a photo of them 😉

5) Don't forget to check the answers and correct the mistakes of last week activities of light👆.
